Returns & Price Adjustment Policy

For your convenience, gymboree.com purchases can be returned at any Gymboree store in the U.S. (excluding Gymboree outlet stores) or through the mail. Credits typically post within 1-2 billing cycles. Merchandise may be returned if defective, or unwashed and unworn, with or without a receipt. All merchandise returns to a store are subject to a 24-hour re-stocking period. All sales are final after 180 days. Online orders cannot receive price adjustments in our retail stores. Merchandise exchanges are only available through Gymboree stores (excluding Gymboree outlet stores). Unfortunately, our stores outside the U.S. are unable to accept online order returns or exchanges.

US Store Return Policy

At Gymboree, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Returns or exchanges will gladly be accepted within six months of original purchase.

Merchandise may be returned if defective, or unwashed, unworn and in sellable condition, to any U.S. store. Gymboree merchandise must be returned to Gymboree locations only. Gymboree retail stores are unable to accept merchandise returns from Gymboree Outlet stores. All merchandise returns are subject to a 24-hour re-stocking period. All sales are final after 180 days.

  • Returns with an Original Sales Receipt
    Merchandise may be exchanged or a refund will be issued in the original form of payment for the price paid when returned within 60 days of purchase. A Merchandise Credit will be issued for returns with an original sales receipt more than 60 days after the purchase date for the price paid. A return/exchange or gift receipt does not serve as an original receipt. Gymboree reserves the right to limit returns or exchanges and to verify the original sale before processing a return.
  • Returns with a Gift Receipt
    Refunds over $5 will be issued in the form of a Merchandise Credit or merchandise exchange for the price paid.
  • Returns without a Receipt
    Refunds over $5 will be issued in the form of a Merchandise Credit or merchandise exchange for the current selling price. Valid identification is required for all returns and exchanges without an original receipt or gift receipt. Valid forms of photo identification are: U.S. Driver’s License, U.S. state-issued ID, U.S. Military ID and a Passport. Information from your ID will be retained in a company-wide database of customer return activity that Gymboree uses to authorize returns and will not be used for any other purpose. Gymboree reserves the right to limit returns or exchanges and to verify the original sale before processing a return. We may offer a lookup using your credit/debit card, personal check or email address to attempt to locate the transaction information for returns without a receipt. If the transaction is located, it will be processed as a return with a receipt.
  • Check Policy
    We will accept your personal check imprinted with your name upon presentation of a valid U.S. Driver’s License, U.S. Military ID or U.S. state-issued ID. Checks must be written for the amount of the purchase only. Checks returned unpaid by your financial institution are subject to a service charge of $25 or the maximum allowed by law. Checks returned for insufficient or uncollected funds, together with service charges, may be debited electronically from your account or collected using a bank draft drawn from your account. All checks are authorized through Certegy Check Services.
  • Gift Cards and Merchandise Credits
    Gift Cards and Merchandise Credits may be redeemed at any U.S. location for merchandise only, except to the extent required by law. Gift Cards may be redeemed for cash if the balance is less than $10, except as otherwise required by law. Gift Cards and Merchandise Credits are valid in the country of issuance only. A valid photo identification is required to receive or redeem a Merchandise Credit. Valid forms of photo identification are: U.S. Driver’s License, U.S. state-issued ID, U.S. Military ID and a Passport. Merchandise Credits must be signed at the point of issuance. Lost, stolen, or damaged Gift Cards or Merchandise Credits may be replaced for the remaining balance at the time of notice upon presenting an original sale or gift receipt. Merchandise Credits are non-transferable. Merchandise Credits cannot be used to purchase Gift Cards. Merchandise Credits cannot be used as a form of payment in conjunction with Gymbucks issuance or redemption. Merchandise Credits may not be used online.
  • Price Adjustments
    A one-time price adjustment will be permitted within 7 days of initial purchase with original receipt. All adjustments are refunded in the original form of payment. Online purchases cannot receive price adjustments in retail stores. Gymboree may designate that price adjustments are not available during certain promotional events or that price adjustments are not available on certain items.

Stores outside the U.S. are unable to accept online order returns or exchanges. International orders from the online store can only be returned by mail.

Mail & International Return Policy

To mail in your return, complete the Return Mail Form (on the bottom half of the packing slip), including "Quantity Returned" and "Reason Code" and enclose it with your merchandise. Credits typically post within 1-2 billing cycles. Customers worldwide should use an insured mail service, we cannot be responsible for items which we do not receive. Shipping fees involved in making a return to the Online Store will not be reimbursed. Packages must be returned prepaid; we cannot accept COD deliveries. International customers should contact their local customs office for the return of duties and taxes. Send returns to:

  • Returns with an Original Sales Receipt
    For returns postmarked within 60 days of the purchase date, a credit will be issued to the credit card used for the original purchase. Credits typically post within 1-2 billing cycles. A return/exchange or gift receipt does not serve as an original receipt. For returns postmarked greater than 60 days after the purchase date, a merchandise credit (redeemable in-store only) will be sent to the shipping address on the original order. Merchandise exchanges are only available at Gymboree stores.

    Refunds will be issued in the form of a merchandise credit (redeemable in-store only) and will be sent to the shipping address on the original order. Merchandise exchanges are only available at Gymboree stores.
  • Returns without a Receipt
    Returns without a receipt will receive a merchandise credit (redeemable in-store only) for the current selling price, and will be sent to the shipping address on the original order. Returns without a receipt will not be accepted for international orders at the Gymboree online store.
  • Gift Certificates and Merchandise Credits
    Gift Cards and Merchandise Credits may be redeemed at any U.S. location for merchandise only, except to the extent required by law. Gift Cards and Merchandise Credits are valid in the country of issuance only. Lost, stolen, or damaged Gift Cards or Merchandise Credits may be replaced for the remaining balance upon presenting an original sale or gift receipt. Merchandise Credits are non transferable. Merchandise Credits cannot be used as a form of payment in conjunction with Gymbucks issuance or redemption. Merchandise Credits may not be used online.

Price Adjustments

Web Policy: A one-time price adjustment will be permitted on any item within 7 days of initial purchase with original receipt. Price adjustments will not be allowed on some orders that receive promotion discounts (e.g. Gymbucks, Promotional Coupons, Rewards Certificates). To receive a price adjustment for an online purchase, email us at orders@gymboree.com, contact customer service at 1-877-4-GYMWEB (1-877-449-6932), or send your entire packing slip to Gymboree Online Store, Attn: Price Adjustments, 2299 Kids Way, Dixon, CA 95620. Forms must be postmarked within 14 days of order date noted on the packing slip. A credit will be processed on the credit card used for the original purchase. Price adjustments will not be allowed on some orders that receive promotion discounts (e.g. Gymbucks, Promotional Coupons, Rewards Certificates). If the price adjustment brings the purchase below the required earning amount for a coupon (e.g. Gymbucks), the coupon will be decremented or deactivated. Online orders can only receive price adjustments as a result of a change to the price of the item at gymboree.com. Online orders cannot receive price adjustments in our retail stores.

Canada Stores Return Policy

Merchandise may be returned if defective, or unwashed and unworn, to any CA store with or without a receipt. The online store cannot accept Canada stores returns. All merchandise returns are subject to a 24-hour re-stocking period. All sales are final after 180 days.

Australia Stores Return Policy

Australian stores cannot accept online returns or exchanges and the online store cannot accept Australian store returns.

  • Change-of-mind Return Policy
    Merchandise may be returned if unwashed and unworn, with or without a receipt within 90 days of purchase for an exchange, refund or credit as set out below. These rules do not apply to defective goods (see below). A returned item cannot be repurchased the same day that it is returned.
  • Returns with Original Sales Receipt
    Merchandise may be exchanged or a refund will be issued in the original form of payment for price paid when returned within 30 days of purchase. A Merchandise Credit will be issued for returns more than 30 days after the purchase date for the price paid. A return/exchange or gift receipt does not serve as an original receipt. Except for defective merchandise (see below), all sales are final after 90 days.
  • Returns with Gift Receipt
    Refunds over $5 will be issued in the form of a Merchandise Credit or merchandise exchange for the price paid.
  • Returns without Receipt
    Refunds over $5 will be issued in the form of a Merchandise Credit or merchandise exchange for the current selling price. Valid identification and your contact details are required for all returns and exchanges without an original receipt or to receive or redeem a Merchandise Credit. Valid identification includes driver’s licence or passport.
  • Defective Merchandise
    You have rights at law to return merchandise which is not of merchantable quality. If you return it within a reasonable time you may be entitled to receive a refund. We will honour all of your legal rights.
  • Gift Cards and Merchandise Credits
    Gift Cards and Merchandise Credits may be redeemed for merchandise only and not for cash, except to the extent required by law. Gift Cards and Merchandise Credits issued in Australia are only valid in Australia. Valid identification is required to receive or redeem a Merchandise Credit. Merchandise Credits must be signed at the point of issuance. Lost, stolen, or damaged Gift Cards or Merchandise Credits may be replaced with a new Gift Card or Merchandise Credit for the remaining balance upon presenting an original sale or gift receipt. Gift Cards expire two years after issuance, Merchandise Credits are non-transferable. Merchandise Credits cannot be used to purchase Gift Cards. Merchandise Credits cannot be used as a form of payment in conjunction with Gymbucks issuance or redemption. Merchandise Credits and Gift Cards may not be used online. Merchandise Credits and Gift Cards are not reloadable.
  • Privacy Policy
    By providing us with your personal information, including your email address, you certify that you are at least 18 years old. By providing us with your name, address and email address, you agree to receive marketing and other promotional materials, including electronic marketing and promotional materials, from Gymboree Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 43 141 602 959).
